Fast, accessible and SEO optimized
The simplest way to build a high-quality website.
A free Astro starter template with everything you need to create an excellent website, write it in Markdown, and make it completely yours.

What is this? A simple way to make your website
This is a starting point for creating a website you fully control. You write in Markdown, the pages are fast and performant, accessibility is built in, and the whole project is free.
Clone the project, add your details to src/config.ts, write your content, and host the generated static site. The setup is simple, and static hosting can be free.
Use it as it is, change every part of it, or take only what you need. Make the website you want and, more importantly, one you love using.
Why is it cool? The useful parts are already here
The template handles the foundation, while keeping you in control of the content, code, and design.
You are in control
The code, content, and finished website belong to you. Change anything, host it anywhere, and move it whenever you want.
Write in Markdown
Markdown is easy to write, works in many different apps, and is simple to move elsewhere. It is also a format AI tools understand and work with well.
Fast and performant
Astro generates static pages and sends very little JavaScript to the browser by default, so your website stays quick.
Accessible by default
The structure, navigation, focus states, and components give you an accessible starting point you can build on.
Free to use
The project is free, and you can publish a static website using a free hosting plan from several providers.
CSS that can grow
A small token-based CSS system gives you consistent colors, spacing, typography, layouts, and utilities without adding framework bloat.
Components included
Headers, footers, heroes, buttons, cards, icons, and section titles are ready to use and easy to adjust.
SEO optimized
Canonical URLs, social metadata, structured data, and a sitemap help search engines understand and present your website. An RSS feed also makes it easy for readers to follow new posts.
